"The romance of sailing is undeniable. Gliding through the water, the wind in your hair and the sun on your face is as good as it gets – thought it isn't always so blissful. When there's a gale blowing and your crew mates are bent over the side, bidding farewell to their lunch, things may not seem so rosy. But that's the beauty of going to sea – you never know quite what to expect. There is always a new lesson to be learnt or a new delight to be experienced."

The Pacific

2 day off Minerva Reef

What a beautiful day!!! Since last night we stopped the engine and have been sailing. The winds are light 6/10 kts and are coming almost exactly from where we want to go but Pointzero is going so nicely that we don't mind. We are sailing as close (against) to the wind as possible on a port tack, doing between 5 and 6 kts, sunny sky and calm sea. Two other boats are less than two miles away and there is a silent race between us, I'm sure.

All is well on board and we have little more than 500 miles to go.
